glock trigger not resetting

Is your G-Flex trigger not resetting after installation? If your Glock trigger is not resetting after a new upgrade, this is the most common issue we see, and 99% of the time it’s a simple installation fix, not a trigger defect. At Flex Industries, we’ve helped thousands of customers fix this in under 5 minutes.

Here are 5 common issues and how to fix them.

1. Connector Angle Is Off

This is the #1 cause. If your connector is bent too far out or pushed too far in, the trigger won’t reset. Fix: Remove your slide and check the connector angle. It should sit flush with the trigger housing. Slightly bend it inward until you hear a crisp click when you rack the slide.

2. Trigger Spring Installed Backwards

If you install your trigger spring with the open loop facing the wrong way, your trigger will go dead after one pull. Fix: The small S-shaped trigger spring’s larger loop should face forward toward the muzzle. Reinstall it and test reset by dry firing with no mag.

3. Over-Tightened Trigger Housing Pin

Over-tightening pins adds friction to your trigger bar. Fix: Loosen your trigger housing pin slightly and add a drop of gun oil to the trigger bar and connector contact point. Your G-Flex Trigger needs to move freely to reset.

4. Slide Not Fully Seated

A new Chrome Black Edition or Rambo Flex slide can be tight. If the slide isn’t going 100% into battery, the trigger won’t reset. Fix: Rack the slide 50-100 times to break it in, oil your rails, and seat your recoil spring assembly correctly in the channel.

5. Dirty Trigger Bar Channel

Factory grease and debris in the frame channel blocks trigger movement. Fix: Clean your trigger bar channel with a dry Q-tip. Do not add heavy grease. Your G-Flex Trigger is designed to run clean and light for competition speed.

Still Not Resetting?

Your G-Flex Trigger is backed by a lifetime warranty. If your Glock trigger is not resetting after troubleshooting, contact Flex Industries support. For a full competition-ready setup, pair your trigger with the G Flex Starter Bundle.
